The Apache Software Foundation has released Geronimo 1.1, an open source J2EE application server. The new release includes numerous bug fixes as well as improvements to performance and usability.
The latest version also features and a brand new Plug-in that allows a user to dynamically build a server to suit their needs.
The foundation also unveiled Little-G version 1.1, a lightweight application server for applications that do not need the full J2EE feature set.
Little-G version 1.1, designed for web service and Service-Oriented Architecture, deployments, brings the features of Apache Geronimo to a lightweight, non-J2EE footprint.
The software is available for free download from the Apache Geronimo website.
