SoftBrands Adds Drop-in Language Functionality to SAP Business

Supplier of enterprise applications software Softbrands Inc. has released version 8.4 of its fourth shift edition for SAP Business One, a SAP-centric ERP system designed specifically for small and midsize manufacturers.

The new version includes drop-in language functionality that allows additional languages to be added to it.

"The drop-in language support makes life easier for the many manufacturers that are engaged in global commerce," said Diane Palmquist, SoftBrands’ vice president for SAP products.

Fourth shift edition version 8.4 includes support for SAP Business One 2005 SP01, which gives manufacturers expanded support for international trade, improved reporting functionality and an enhanced software development kit for tailoring the system to fit vertical market needs.

Version 8.4 also includes support for multiple databases within a single installation of fourth shift edition, allowing easy access to multi-company databases from any workstation.
