Gartner has positioned Epicor in the 'Leaders' quadrant in its recently released report, 'Magic Quadrant for Retail Point-of-Sale Applications for Tier 1 Retailers, 2006.' According to the report, "In the mature but demanding Tier 1 market for POS applications, it is not surprising that the majority of applications that meet the inclusion criteria for this analysis fall within this quadrant. Basic POS functionality is well established and deployed in highly distributed and challenging environments. The differences are down to ability to execute, today, in different markets, in line with demands of major trends such as segment blurring and internationalization. Vendors of applications in the Leaders quadrant are successfully articulating a business proposition that resonates with the vision and strategy of retailers and is in line with consumer expectations of the retail experience today and in the near future."
