Salesforce.com Adds Google Adwords Tracker Software
On-demand business services provider Salesforce.com Inc. has acquired Kieden Corp., which helps customers track sales leads generated with online advertisements on Google Inc. Financial terms of the deal ha not been announced.
Under the terms of the deal the operations of Kieden, a four-person operation with 45 customers, will come under Salesforce.com. The announcement was made by Salesforce.com CEO and Chairman Marc Benioff and Kieden co-founder Kraig Swensrud at a press conference in Boston.
The new service will will be marketed as "Salesforce for Google AdWords and would allow customers to launch a Google AdWords advertising campaign from a Salesforce.com application at the cost of USD300 per company per month.
The service helps the companies advertising on Google to analyse ongoing campaigns by viewing which people who click on Google AdWords keywords.
Kieden was started in January and had launched a public beta of application by May.
