Microsoft has accidentally listed the pricing for Windows Vista Ultimate and Windows Vista Home Premium on its Canadian Website. The page was however, pulled out from the site soon after news of pricing leaked.
Microsoft admitted through its public relation firm that the pricing list was posted unintentionally, but then removed the information. The company said the U.S. pricing for U.S. would be when the first release candidate of Vista is released before the end of September.
The price listed on the website showed that the company intends to charge as much as CDN 299 for its top-of-the-line upgrade to Ultimate Edition, and CDN 499 if users wish to purchase the full version. Microsoft has priced Vista Business at USD 341 versus USD 386 for XP Professional.
The company expects to release Vista to manufacturing in November with consumer availability starting in January 2007.
