SAP Labs has announced the appointment of Georg Kniese as the managing director of its Indian operations. Kniese, who had been working with SAP Labs India as a joint managing director along with Martin Prinz, took over his new charge with effect from August 1, 2006, the company said.
At the same time, Martin Prinz moves on to head the HR shared services organisation for the Asia-Pacific region. Based in Singapore, Martin will lead the implementation and manage the HR shared services organisation for Asia-Pacific.
Georg joined SAP’s headquarters in Germany in 2002 and played a key role in forming an effective network of SAP’s development centres globally. Before coming to India, he was heading the operations of one of SAP’s global lines of business. In January 2005, Georg moved to SAP Labs India as joint managing director.
Prior to working for SAP, he worked for The Boston Consulting Group in Zurich, Switzerland. He started his career at the European headquarters of Procter & Gamble in Geneva, Switzerland.
Meanwhile, SAP Labs has announced the appointment of Martin Prinz as the head of the HR Shared Services Organisation for the Asia-Pacific region. Based in Singapore, Prinz will lead the implementation and manage the HR Shared Services Organisation for Asia-Pacific region.
