HP Integrity Boosts APAC Revenue by USD 500 mln in 2005
Hewlett Packard's integrity server solutions clocked over USD 500 million in revenue in Asia Pacific and Japan in 2005. More than 8000 servers as well as solutions - such as software, HP StorageWorks systems and hardware services - have been adopted by over 1000 customers across all key industry sectors till date in Asia Pacific, according to a release by HP this morning.
The company claims that of the more than 7600 applications now available globally to run on HP Integrity servers, over 450 are developed by Asia Pacific partners. Worldwide, HP Integrity servers recorded an increase in revenue of 81% over 2004, with Integrity solution sales of USD 1.6 billion in fiscal year 2005.
According to a recent IDC report, HP led the Asia/Pacific (inc. Japan) EPIC servers, using Itanium 2 processor, market segment in 2005 with 79.4% unit shipment and 60.7% factory revenue shares. In 2005, HP Integrity server revenues in Asia/Pacific (inc. Japan) grew 91% compared to 2004. HP was also the No. 1 vendor in the highend UNIX server segment in Asia Pacific (inc. Japan) for calendar year 2005, with revenue growth of 31.8 percent in calendar year 2005 compared to 2004.
