MTV Networks Asia and Motorola announced the launch of Mobbed, which is positioned as a digitally focused, interactive, entertainment platform aimed at youth in Asia-Pacific. Mobbed is expected to be "integrated" across various media: on air, online, mobile, and on ground.
Mobbed will be available to Asia-Pacific youths spanning seven countries (Australia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand). Emulating a phone interface, the three key icons are to provide users with the latest news, gossip, downloads, and activities and also focus on a new artist each month. The on-air show will be fronted by local MTV VJs.
"With the launch of Mobbed by MTV and Motorola, we will be providing an even more creative and innovative platform for youth to get branded entertainment via their mobile screens," said a Motorola spokesperson.
