Tata Consultancy Services Gets Certification for Quality, Security, and Services

IT solutions and consulting organization Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), announced enterprise-wide ISO 9001:2000, BS 7799-2:2002, and BS 15000-1:2002 certifications for quality, security and services respectively.

“Customers can expect to experience a high degree of certainty in our service delivery as TCS stays focused on improving quality and processes constantly in an environment of rapid growth,” said N. Chandrasekaran, Head of Global Sales and Operations, TCS.  “An enterprise-wide certification means customers can expect higher predictability of results every time, as well as increased productivity irrespective of the location from which the engagement is executed.”

"International certifications offer a level of consistency and standardization that helps customers ascertain the levels of quality management and service and security practices of an external partner,” said Bola Rotibi, Senior Analyst at Ovum.

As a result of the certifications, TCS became the only software company in China to be assessed at CMMI and PCMM Level 5 and ISO 9001:2000  as well as gain BS 7799-2:2002 and BS 15000-1:2002 certifications.
