EFI, a player in digital controllers, superwide format printers and inks, and print management solutions, has announced its expansion plans for the Indian market. As a first step in this regard, the company will move its operations to a new facility on the Outer Ring Road in Bangalore so as to scale up its research and development operations.
EFI’s other development centres are located at Pittsburg (USA), and Dusseldorf in Germany, apart from its headquarters in Foster City, California.
The Asia-Pacific region contributes 15 per cent to the company’s overall revenues, Saran added. EFI India, a three-year-old firm, employs 150 people and plans to greatly expand its workforce during the present year.
Announcing the opening of the facility, Guy Gecht, chairman & CEO, EFI Inc said that over the past few years, India had emerged as one of the fastest-growing markets for the company.
