Software services firm HCL Infosystems Ltd. has posted a quarterly net profit of Rs. 84.44 crores in the January-March 2006 quarter compared with Rs. 65.49 crores in the year-ago period. The company said its consolidated earnings per share for the quarter were Rs 5.02 per share, a rise of 27 percent from the year-ago quarter. The company’s consolidated revenue increased to Rs 3211.2 crores as against Rs 2011.8 crores in the corresponding year-ago quarter.
The company had revenue of Rs 682.2 crores from the Computer Systems business, while Telecommunication and Office Automation business generated revenue of Rs 2525.2 crores.
The company’s board of directors has also declared a third quarterly Interim dividend of Rs 2 a share.
