Business software maker Hyperion has announced the completion of its acquisition of privately-held UpStream Software, a data assurance specialist. The company did not disclose the value of the deal.
Hyperion said the acquisition would extend its business intelligence offerings and assure data quality in its products. It said UpStream’s data quality and workflow functionality with its own business performance management suite would enable users to seamlessly track the movement of data featured in financial reports back to its source.
Announcing the deal, its President and CEO Godfrey Sullivan said, "The addition of UpStream’s technology to our proven BPM portfolio is providing customers with a robust financial data quality solution to reduce business risk and meet compliance and performance management needs."
