Juniper Networks Inc. has announced the appointment of Matt Kolon as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Asia Pacific. In his new role, Kolon is responsible for ensuring that the technical and strategic requirements of customers in the region are reflected in Juniper’s technology portfolio.
Kolon, who was the company’s Hong-Kong-based regional Mobility Architect will report to Adam Judd, Juniper Networks’ vice president for Asia Pacific, and will continue to be based in Hong Kong.
Kolon replaces Andrew Coward, Juniper’s previous CTO, who has taken up the role of vice president, Service Provider Worldwide Field Operations at the company’s Sunnyvale global headquarters.
Prior to Juniper he was a trainer and consultant for telecommunications providers and has presented papers and seminars at networking conferences and trade shows, including at MPLScon, APRICOT, NANOG, The China VPN Conference, MPLS Forum Japan, and SuperComm.
