Salesforce.com Inc has announced a new a new AppExchange OEM Edition, expanding its on-demand computing into new markets completely separate from CRM.
AppExchange OEM Edition is an on-demand platform which start-up companies and established ISVs can use to develop and deliver new on-demand applications that reach well beyond CRM to serve new customers and new markets worldwide.
According to Kendall Collins, vice president of product marketing the OEM edition will allow third-party SaaS providers to leverage the core aspects of the Salesforce.com platform including the operating system, customization tools, Web Service APIs, workflow, and logic.
AppExchange OEM Edition provides an on-demand platform license that includes everything partners need to build and deliver compelling on-demand applications to their customers.
AppExchange OEM Edition will be priced at USD 25 per user per month, the company said.
