TCS Awarded Verizon's Supplier Excellence Award for Third Consecutive Year

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has been selected as a winner of Verizon's 2005 Supplier Excellence Award (SEA) in the Services category. Competing against three other finalists in the Services category TCS won for outstanding effort and achievement in demonstrating performance excellence. The annual award recognizes Verizon's top suppliers that have helped the communications leader provide exceptional service to its customers. The five winners across five categories were recognized at the fifth annual award ceremony held May 12 at Verizon's headquarters.

TCS provides application support and monitoring for Verizon. TCS has been working with Verizon since 1999 and has participated in various key initiatives.

"We are honored to have received the Verizon Supplier Excellence award for the third consecutive year," said Surya Kant, president Tata Consultancy Services, Americas. "It demonstrates our commitment and successful track record in creating value for our customers, but also our dedication to effectively meet their changing business needs."

Verizon's SEA program is a corporate-wide program facilitated by the Supply Chain Services Quality Management group for which nominees, including suppliers of products and services who achieved overall performance excellence (98 percent or greater).
