Oracle OpenWorld Registration for Developers Kick-starts
Oracle has opened registration for Oracle OpenWorld San Francisco 2006, to be held in October 22-26 at Moscone Center. Oracle said, additionally, attendees will also be able to register for a new program launching this year for developers, Oracle Develop.
Oracle Develop will help attendees advance their development skills and expand their knowledge at expert-led, in-depth technical sessions, hands-on labs, advanced how-tos, and detailed tutorials.
"Oracle OpenWorld San Francisco offers our customers and partners a highly-charged, educational experience to learn about the latest technology, applications, and solutions to help them get more from their business," said Tania Weidick, Senior Marketing Director, Oracle OpenWorld. "This year, attendees will have the opportunity to share in our strategy and vision while taking part in an expanded conference program tailored to address their individual business needs and industry needs."
The event is expected to be Oracle's largest to date, with over 41,000 participants. Planned highlights for this year's show include: • An expanded keynote line up that includes industry leaders and executives from AMD, CapGemini, Cisco, Dell, HP, Oracle, NetApp, and Sun; • More than 1400 educational sessions on Oracle Applications and Technology, tailored to address key applications, technology, industries, and solution areas presented by Oracle Product Management, Partners and Customers; • Special programming tracks, including a three-day developers program at Oracle Develop, a weekend of highly technical, hands-on, deep dive content at the X-Treme Program, and a specialized program for Oracle's JD Edwards customers; Access to more than 400 live demos from the developers and experts behind the products at the Oracle Demogrounds; and over 450 Oracle partners, showcasing their latest in the Oracle Exhibit Halls; and • The opportunity for attendees to meet and hear from their peers with more than 80 user group and SIG meetings and numerous networking functions built directly into the program.
