Timothy Montgomery is New Satyam VP for Global Insurance Practice

Satyam Computer Services has appointed Timothy (Tim) Montgomery as Senior Vice President, Global Insurance Practice. Based out of Massachusetts, Tim will focus on adding value to existing and new customer relationships, and identifying and developing high-end partnerships, planning and implementing market penetration strategies in the insurance area. He will provide leadership in building new capabilities, enhancing industry-specific service offerings and expanding Satyam’s global footprint.

Tim has over 20 years of IT experience. During the past 12 years, he was involved in IT outsourcing – both onshore and offshore – and was responsible for establishing significant offshore contracts with Tier I and Tier II outsourcing companies. In addition, he has developed and managed successful best-practice offshore outsourcing programs for fortune 500 companies that have resulted in more than USD 40 million in savings.

Prior to joining Satyam, Mr. Montgomery served as Managing Director of Directlink Technologies where he was instrumental in developing and executing business plans and go-to-market strategies for building the company’s business. Previously, he held several senior level positions such as Vice President of IT for CIGNA Healthcare, IT Director of Stanley Fastening Systems and senior leadership positions at GE Power Systems and GE Industrial Systems. Under his leadership, Mr. Montgomery has developed teams that consistently drove business value in terms of variable cost productivity gains, process simplification and standardization, and effective utilization of outsourcing.
