Altiris, Inc., has announced significant new updates to numerous IT asset management solutions to help drive savings through automated IT operations and improved IT governance, compliance and asset visibility, according to a company release earlier today. The new PeopleSoft Foundation Suite by Altiris and updates to other Altiris IT asset management solutions are intended to provide companies with various options to discover, track and manage IT assets to uncover and eliminate hidden costs, address compliance requirements, streamline processes, and achieve greater return on IT investments.
Steve Morton, Altiris VP of product management and marketing, said, “Altiris service and IT asset management solutions simplify the complexity of IT operations management and further distinguish Altiris from the competition. The PeopleSoft Foundation Suite by Altiris is now available and supports Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise IT Asset Management 8.9. Asset Control Solution 6.2 and Contract Management Solution 6.2 are now available. Application Metering Solution will be available in July. Asset Control, Contract Management and Application Metering Solutions are available as components of Altiris Service and Asset Management Suite or as standalone solutions.
