Cedarcom to Deploy Juniper Solutions to Enable Core IP Network
Juniper has announced that Lebanese telecommunications provider Cedarcom is deploying a comprehensive Juniper Networks solution as the first phase of a major network upgrade across Lebanon.
Cedarcom is deploying Juniper Networks E- and M-series routing platforms, the SDX-300 Service Deployment System, and the Integrated Security Gateway (ISG) series firewall and virtual private network (FW/VPN) systems with Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDP).
Cedarcom is also using Juniper's Dynamic Threat Mitigation solution, which integrates its routing platforms, Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDP) capability and SDX Service Deployment System, to provide real-time protection from network attacks, and to provide immediate assistance to users who have been affected. The security solutions protect Cedarcom's corporate network infrastructure against worms, trojans, spyware and other emerging threats, as well as application layer threats.
Cedarcom will extend and scale IP connectivity to provide a diverse range of services including video and data services to its customers throughout Lebanon. The network also serves as an IP backbone for the entire country of Lebanon, to be primarily used for the deployment of DSL services.
