Internet Security Systems Inc., a software security provider, has plans to set up a center of excellence in Hyderabad. The centre will focus on new product development, security content and packaging in order to fill the gaps in our roadmap for growth.
The company said the centre would gradually start working on other business functions as well. Internet security plans to start with 100 engineers and grow significantly over the next few years.
The company said the idea behind establishing the center in Hyderabad is to ustilise the talent pool available in India to respond to the growing competition pressure.
The company, which already has a sales presence in Bangalore, said it is still looking for land in Hyderabad and is likely to set up the centre by the second half of this year.
