Bea AquaLogic Suite of Products to Integrate with Prima IBCS

Bea Systems has signed an agreement with Prima Solutions to integrate Prima IBCS with its AquaLogic suite of SOA products. Bea said the integration is designed to accelerate the adoption of SOA in the insurance industry.

The two companies have already integrated Prima IBCS insurance model with the Bea WebLogic platform.

Bea AquaLogic is a cross-platform product family optimised for composing, orchestrating, securing and managing SOA throughout the enterprise. And Prima IBCS is an extensive insurance object model spanning most insurance domain areas.

By integrating Prima IBCS with the BEA AquaLogic suite of SOA products, BEA and Prima Solutions will enable insurers to accelerate the deployment of new composite applications while leveraging existing infrastructure.

Targeting the need of insurers to integrate legacy systems, implement business process management, orchestrate business services, and monitor business transactions, the two companies have agreed to jointly deliver proven SOA solutions tailored specifically for the insurance industry.

Bea said several prototypes, testing the processes and evaluating the productivity gains of the joint solution, have already been launched by customers in Asia, Europe and the US.
