OpenLogic, a provider of software, stacks and support that enable enterprises to deploy and manage customised open source environments, has upgraded to OpenLogic Enterprise. The newest version offers a new web-based Manager for updating and auditing open source across the enterprise, opens APIs for integrating with existing infrastructure, and now includes over 200 open source products in the pre-certified library, as per a statement issued by the company.
With this version of OpenLogic Enterprise, OpenLogic is launching OpenLogic Enterprise Manager—a central web console to update, manage and audit open source across the enterprise.
Large organisations want to leverage open source, but also need to control, monitor, and audit its use to ensure compliance with license terms and governance policies. OpenLogic Enterprise Manager provides a series reports to monitor which open source packages have been installed and where it is deployed, the company added.
According to the company, the newest version of OpenLogic Enterprise offers automated scripting and a new SOAP-based web services interface to help enterprises integrate OpenLogic Enterprise with existing processes and systems.

Expanded Open Source Library Reaches More Than 200 Certified Open Source Packages. OpenLogic has added more than 40 new open source packages to its certified library, including CruiseControl, Groovy, Subversion and WordPress, the company claimed.
Pricing for OpenLogic Enterprise is based on the number of systems and developers using open source and the number of open source packages for which a company wants support.
