Vonage subscribers with 'home away from home' needs or who have friends and family around the world have a new affordable way to stay in touch with Vonage V-Access, the company said in a statement. V-Access provides an access number to make calls to any Vonage phone number (or an 800-number) without paying long distance or international fees. This service is currently available in the United States, Canada, France, Italy, Mexico, Spain, and the UK.

"Vonage customers already enjoy flat-rate local and long distance calling, and now they can offer the same savings for loved ones who want to call them," said Bill Rainey, president, Vonage Canada.

Vonage subscribers (or anyone else) can take advantage of V-Access by visiting the 'Features' section here and clicking 'V-Access'. With a couple of clicks in the "Find an Access Number" box, anyone can obtain an access number that will enable them to avoid long distance and international calling charges. Then make a call with a V-Access number by following these steps:

• Dial the local access number
• Dial the Vonage phone number or 800-number
• The call is connected without incurring long distance or international charges
