AdventNet, a provider of enterprise IT management software, has announced considerable performance enhancements on the scalability front in its latest release, NetFlow Analyzer Enterprise Edition 6.
NetFlow Analyzer is a web-based bandwidth monitoring tool that collects Cisco NetFlow, sFlow, IPFIX and Cisco NBAR data exported from routing devices, to analyze network traffic and report on bandwidth usage across the network. With instant real-time bandwidth usage reports on top applications, conversations, and hosts using bandwidth, NetFlow Analyzer gives valuable insight into bandwidth usage in the enterprise without the complexity and expense involved in deploying hardware probes.
"Scalability and reliability are of chief importance when working with large enterprises. The NetFlow Analyzer Enterprise Edition's underlying framework of central server with distributed collectors makes it possible for us to continuously upgrade the product on these fronts," said Jayakumar Karumbasalam, Development Manager at AdventNet.
The Enterprise Edition comprises of a central reporting engine and multiple flow collectors, which can be deployed strategically to provide a centralized view of the network. It is the only all-software solution available in the market, which can scale up to the monitoring needs of large enterprises.
In addition to the performance enhancements, the NetFlow Analyzer Enterprise Edition 6 also brings in several features that deliver great value at compelling price points: Selectable Graph - to allow drilldown in to specific regions of the graph for quick drilldown, Application Groups - Allows creation of user-defined application groups by putting together existing applications, Interface Group - Allows creation of logical monitoring entities by grouping together interfaces.
The Enterprise Edition, which is targeted towards large enterprises with distributed networks, can now monitor up to 20,000 interfaces and flow rates of up to 100,000 flow records per second on a single central server.
"Our expertise in having served thousands of enterprises customers will keep us in good stead going forward," Karumbasalam added.
