Netgear’s ProSafe Router DGFV338 Introduced In India



Cyberstar Infocom Ltd, a distributor of IT peripherals, networking products and components in India, Singapore, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal, has recently made available the Netgear ProSafe Wireless ADSL Modem VPN firewall DGFV338 routers in India.

ProSafe DGFV338 is positioned as an all-in-one solution combining six functions for small and mid-sized business needs along with wired and wireless connectivity. The six function compacted in one include Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) firewall, 802.11g wireless access point, IPSec Virtual Private Network (VPN), NAT router, an 8 port 10/100 fast Ethernet switch, and built-in ADSL2+ modem support.

“The six-in-one security appliance DGFV338 is an ideal choice for businesses seeking to provide network access to remote sites or mobile users”, said Raj Rathi, the Founder & CEO of Cyberstar Infocom. “The DGFV338 is an extension of Netgear popular ADSL2/2+ gateway line that offers ProSafe business class features with higher security, VPN capabilities, and stronger antennas and is best suited to the outstanding requirements of the customers around the globe”, added Rathi.

Claimed by the company as easy and reliable, the DGFV338 delivers both 10 and 100 Mbps connections for wired devices, plus wireless support at 2.4 GHz frequency at 54 mbps radio transmission with up to 108 mbps in 802.11g. The company also added that, much more than a standard broadband router, the ProSafe DGFV338 SPI firewall provides businessclass protection, blocking unwanted users from accessing the network.

The DGFV338 is easy to set up and use, with NETGEAR's intuitive Smart Wizard a VPN Wizard that helps connect to the ISP and establish VPN connections. It delivers all the advantages of centralized administration for remote offices, teleworkers and small businesses, including dynamic DNS capabilities to facilitate remote access, cameras, games, and other hosted services for users with dynamic IP addresses.

It provides support for Wi-Fi protected Access 2 Enterprise (WPA2) shields wireless communication with the highest available level of industry-standard encryption and authentication. In addition to the SP Firewall and WPA2, the DGFV338 provides comprehensive controls to block or filter unwanted addresses, services, protocols, and URLs.

Through Cyberstar Infocom limited, the DGFV338 is immediately available in India.
