Dragon Quest IV Prepares for a September Launch in America
While not yet officially announced, Square-Enix has launched a teaser site for the DS remake of Dragon Warrior IV, titled Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen. This game is speculated for a release in America by mid of September.
Dragon Quest IV was the last of the Nintendo Entertainment System Dragon Quest games, when it was released in Japan in 1990. Two years later, the game finally made its way to North American shores (originally called Dragon Warrior IV). The game is notable for dividing the narrative into five distinct chapters, providing a greater emphasis on story.
While the other two games in what Square Enix is calling the Zenithia Trilogy were announced, no release dates for either Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride or Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Reverie were given.
"Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen is another excellent addition to the beloved Dragon Quest series. I hope that game players throughout Europe will enjoy the humour and excitement and look forward to future adventures with Dragon Quest V: The Hand of the Heavenly Bride and Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Reverie," said John Yamamoto, president and chief executive officer of Square Enix.
