Sasken Links Up with S60 Product Creation Community
Sasken Communication, a provider of software services and solutions in 3G wireless and broadband DSL technologies, has joined the S60 Product Creation Community (S60 PCC). S60 PCC, created in 2003, was established to accelerate the crucial steps in bringing S60 phones to market. The members of the community offer S60 OEM-licensees expert help with all aspects of S60 smartphone development, including software integration, hardware implementation and customization of the S60 software package.
According to Sasken, the Technology Integrator status provides it an opportunity to add value to S60 ecosystem through its multimedia experience. The membership also reinforces Sasken’s associated partnerships, which include Symbian Competence Center, OMAP Technology Center and ARM Approved Design Center.
"Sasken becoming the S60 Licensee is a very positive development that will further develop the global community of software talents contributing to the development of new S60 phones," said Christian Heinz, Director, Product Creation Community, Mobile Software Sales and Marketing, Nokia.
