Konami Proudly Presents the Last Epic of Solid Snake
The fourth installment of Konami Digital Entertainment’s Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, a PS3 computer entertainment system exclusive, was recently launched to US retails.
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, supposedly the last game in the series for the legendary gaming icon, features an aging and exhausted ‘Solid Snake’ in the middle of a futuristic battlefield. In spite of his failing body, Snake is equipped with a crucial new device tentatively known as OctoCamo, a high-tech suit that dynamically transforms its texture based on Snake's surroundings. The game will include custom weapons and modifications through black market weapon trades.
"Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots not only represents the height of the stealth-action genre, but it also defines what it is to be a next-generation game by setting new standards in gameplay, storytelling and graphics," said Anthony Crouts, Vice President of Marketing for Konami Digital Entertainment.
Rated "M" for Mature by the ESRB, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots Standard Edition will be priced at USD 59.99 SRP while the Limited Edition will be priced at USD 84.99 SRP and is only available at Gamestop retailers.
Konami is also offering a Limited Edition PS3 system bundle, which includes a Gun Metal Gray 40GB PS3 system with a Gun Metal Gray DUALSHOCK 3 wireless controller and limited edition game, with a SRP of USD 599.99 and only offered at the Konami homepage.
