ASUS Unleashes M930, Communicator Style Smart Phone In India



Asus has unveiled the new M930 communicator style smart phone in the country. With a full QWERTY keyboard and an ultra-wide screen, ASUS said the M930 offers easy and efficient usage, and adds impressive productivity to its well-groomed design.

Sporting an elegant screen with mirror reflective surfaces and sleek metal keys and lines, the M930 features free-stop flipping hinge that allows effortless adjustments to any angle and position that users prefer. With a compact body and slim side profile, the M930 showcases a multimedia center while open, and a cellular when closed.

This communicator style smart phone features two screens- external 2-inches TFT LCD with 240 x 320 resolution and internal 2.6-inches screen with 400 x 240 resolution. In addition, the phone offers two fast and intuitive input options via the numeric keypad when closed, and the full QWERTY keyboard when open.

The M930 lets users stay connected with the help of various ways such as GPRS, EDGE, WCDMA, HSDPA, Bluetooth 2.0, Wi-Fi and USB 2.0. On the other hand, with Windows Mobile 6, users can utilize the ActiveSync feature to transfer data from the smart phone to a server.

Moreover, in areas without Wi-Fi coverage, users can convert the M930 into a 3.5G modem with its one-step Quick Modem Setting and easily connect to the Internet. The plug and play auto network configuration allows users to simply plug in a SIM card and have complete Internet setting done automatically.

Besides, the phone also sports business features such as iCam, ClearVue Document Viewer, Remote Presenter, Voice Recognition, Network Auto Configuration.

"The M930 is also the only communicator with a webcam, which we call 'iCAM' because you can type SMS, listen to music, write emails, etc. while using the iCAM. Business professionals can also use the iCAM to have a video conference,” said Edward Wang, Business Head, Mobile Communication Business, ASUS (India).

The Asus M930 smartphone will be available in the Indian market at the price of Rs. 27,900.
