XPS M1730: Dell Set Free the Beast in the Indian Market
To provide gamers with the pleasure of ultimate gaming experience, Dell has come up with its new XPS M1730 notebook, aka ‘the beast’. The company claims that this is the first notebook in the world to incorporate AGEIA PhysX Mobile Technology and Logitech’s GamePanel LCD.
The XPS M1730 sports an Intel Core 2 Duo T8300 processor at 2.2GHz, 17-inch UltraSharp widescreen (1920x1200) display with TrueLife technology, 4GB dual channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz, NVIDIA SLI technology with dual NVIDIA GeForce Go 8700M GT GPUs with 256MB, 200GB 7,200 RPM hard disc drive, 8x DVD+/-RW, Intel Pro/Wireless 3945 802.11 a/b/g Wireless with WiFi Catcher, Bluetooth version 2.0+, 2.0 MP built-in webcam with dual digital array microphones, 4 USB 2.0, Dual-link DVI-I (support for 30-inch displays), IEEE 1394a, S-video with component, composite, S/PDIF support, 8-in-1 card reader, HDMI via DVI adapter, Consumer IR, dual headphones, microphone (stereo line-in) and support for 5.1 audio out, Choice of Microsoft Windows Vista Premium or Windows XP Professional, ExpressCard Consumer IR Travel Remote Control and 80WHr Lithium-Ion battery.
Commenting on the launch of this notebook Girish Mehta, Director of Consumer Marketing, Dell India, said, “the XPS M1730 engineering team worked with developers on leading titles such as such as The Orange Box from Valve’s Half Life 2 and 2K Games’ BioShock to help ensure this notebook can deliver the full-throttle power required for the most anticipated PC games.”
XPS M1730 comes with three wing color options, Crimson Red, Sapphire Blue, and Smoke Grey with LED backlight and LightFX support with user-configurable options, and XPS Premium Service with complete cover for one whole year. The notebook is available now with a price range starting from Rs 1,00,800.
