Dell Presents Notebooks with Your Choice of Color

Dell has recently launched a Studio line of colorful notebook computers, which aims to combine aesthetics and features from the XPS range with the value of their Inspiron models. The Studio 15 and Studio 17 laptops come in seven colors, and as personalization seems to be the key here, Dell will also include a series of optional accessories to match the Studio line, such as backpacks, slipcovers, mice and ear buds.

The Studio laptops will sport a number of features designed for high-end multimedia users, such as an optional blu-ray drive and a high-resolution 17-inch screen. The new notebooks will also sport Intel Core 2 Duo processors up to 2.5GHz and offer the option of up to 3GB of memory. For graphics, both systems utilize Intel’s integrated GMA X3100, but a 256MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 is available as an option on the Studio 17.

All laptops come with a built in 2 megapixel Web cam, 802.11b/g or draft-n Wi-Fi, four USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI connector, VGA output, gigabit Ethernet, a 4-pin IEEE 1394 port, and a 54mm ExpressCard slot.

Available colors include plum purple, tangerine orange, flamingo pink, midnight blue, ruby red, spring green, or jet black. In addition, buyers can choose graphite grey, which can be customized with contrasting black, blue, pink, or red edge trim around the display's back.

"These products are built for today’s digital nomad based on the millions of conversations we have every year on dell.com, Ideastorm and community forums," said Michael Tatelman, vice president of consumer sales and marketing for Dell. "With Dell Studio we’re answering the call for personalization, connectivity and simplicity."

Available immediately from Dell, pricing for the 15-inch model starts from USD 799 and the 17-inch version would cost USD 999. Both the models will hit retail stores in the next few days.
