Pentax Brings Optio S10 to the Indian Market
Pentax has introduced the Optio S10 digital camera in the Indian market. The compact digicam will be distributed in the country by IDLDPL (India Digital Life Style Distributors Pvt. Ltd.), a lifestyle products distributor in India.
The advanced point-and-shoot Optio S10 has an ultra-compact Aluminium alloy design, and features 10.0 effective mega pixels resolution, Digital SR (Shake Reduction) for reducing camera shake and blurring, and Face Recognition AF and AE.
Optio S10 also comes with new functions as part of face recognition feature i.e. 'Natural Skin Tone' mode, which presents skin texture based on the detected information and 'Half-length Portrait' mode, which automatically takes a close-up photograph of the upper body of the subject by trimming the people recognized in photo frame.
The Auto Picture mode function in the Optio S10 helps users in getting a suitable background and better effect. Landscape, Portrait, Night Scene, and Normal modes are the options available. As mentioned earlier, the camera includes the Digital SR (Shake Reduction) mode reduces camera shake and blurring of the subject whilst capturing still images.
Pentax claims the camera can deliver clear crisp photos even when images are enlarged to A3 (11.7 x 16.5 inch) size.
"Now, with the launch of OPTIO S10, we are widening the option for the customers to choose the best of performing DigiCams. Unlike other camera models, OPTIO S10 comes equipped with DivX (MPEG-4) software, which helps in long and high-quality movie recording. And, the LCD booster technology adjusts the brightness of monitor of the camera," said Surinder Saini, assistant vice president, sales, IDLDPL.
Incorporating a 3X optical zoom lens and a 2.5 inch LCD monitor, the camera features intelligent zoom function, data imprint function, 22.0 MB built-in-memory, FotoNation’s red-eye compensation function, and includes ACDsee for Pentax image viewer/image management software. It also supports PictBridge, DPOF functions, Exif Print, and PRINT Image Matching III.
Pentax Optio S10 Digital Camera is available in the Indian market for Rs. 16,990 through IDLDPL.
