Hyperion Ramps Up ASEAN and India Teams
Hyperion has appointed two new Directors for their sales and services teams for the India and ASEAN region to gear up for the rapidly growing Business Intelligence (BI) and BPM markets in Asia Pacific. Stanley Chia has been appointed as Sales Director, while Francis Han has taken on the role of Services Director.
According to IT market research firm IDC, the size of the Asia-Pacific excluding Japan (APEJ) market for BI and BPM was USD 340 million in 2005, a 22.5 per cent increase over the market size a year before. IDC expects the market to grow 13.5 per cent to reach USD 639 million by 2010.
"Stanley and Francis’ appointments are part of our strategy to meet this anticipated growth and to better serve our existing and future customers across the ASEAN region," said Suganthi Shivkumar, Managing Director for ASEAN and India. "Both of them have been a dynamic force in this company, displaying a strong combination of leadership skills and business acumen. We are thrilled to have such professional talent on board. We are confident that they will grow with the company and take us to the next level in servicing our customers."
As Sales Director for Hyperion ASEAN, Chia will pilot a core team of sales managers in ASEAN to drive Hyperion’s growth in the region by expanding its portfolio of customers across the different verticals and increasing its market share, the company said.
Promoted to Services Director for Hyperion ASEAN & India, Han will lead a team of pre-sales personnel and consultants in ensuring they maintain levels of customer service throughout the implementation cycle, including pre-sales and after sales training.
Both Chia and Han are based in Singapore and will report to Shivkumar, who was recently awarded the best performing Hyperion Managing Director in the Asia Pacific region this year.
