Now Skype Available On Nokia N800 Internet Tablet
Nokia has announced that it has added Skype to the company's N800 Internet Tablet.
According to a Nokia release, present N800 users can download the feature that is a part of the larger upgrade release for the latest OS 2007 edition. The upgrade also adds an Adobe Flash 9 browser plug-in for better Web compatibility, support for larger capacity memory cards, and enhanced online use-times, according to the cell phone maker.
Skype’s head of business development Eric Lagier said the new initiative is a part of Skype's ongoing mobile business outreach in helping people enjoy the benefits of VoIP on the move.
"Our users are no longer just using Skype on their computer desktops. With the growth of mobile devices and Wi-Fi, consumers expect to be connected wherever they are, at the office, at home or on the move. Making Skype available on such a portable device lets us bring Internet conversations to the mobile masses, Lagier said.
