Sun, IBM Ink OS Agreement
Sun Microsystems and IBM are jointly working on a new operating system and the companies are making an announcement in this regard today. Sun Microsystems CEO Jonathan Schwartz and IBM's systems chief Bill Zeitler will be making a new announcement.
If people in the know are to be believed, Sun will probably do away with its middleware in favour of WebSphere on Solaris. There are even talks that IBM may give up on AIX in favour of Solaris. Although nothing can be said if another announcement is also made.
