Acer Aspire 5050 Notebook: A Budget Notebook
The Acer Aspire 5050 notebook is an answer for home and business needs. It offers dual-core performance and flexibility.
The notebook is compact and affordable and falls under the budget notebooks category.
It features a 14.1-inch display as compared to other budget notebooks that offer 15.4 or 17-inch models.
Based around the AMD Athlon 64 X2 TK-53 dual core mobile processor, the Acer Aspire 5050 notebook is a bit slower than the TK-55 processor model.
Acer installed a 120GB drive into the Aspire 5050 that provides 50 per cent more storage than the average budget laptop, which use 80GB hard drives
The system has three USB ports, but lacks any FireWire ports. So, the system cannot connect easily to most digital camcorders. It also uses the older Type II PC Card slot instead of the newer ExpressCard for expansion.
In spite of the pros and cons of the notebook, the Aspite 5050 notebook is suitable for one’s pocket.
