Trolltech Updated Java Port of Qt

The Norwegian company Trolltech has updated the Java port of Qt Jambi in version 4.4. Jambi is based on the C++ GUI toolkit and it is included in the new edition of the HTML rendering engine WebKit and the multimedia framework Phonon. This would provide Java developer’s new opportunities to develop their applications with new functions.

Qt is a cross-platform application framework for desktop and embedded development. It includes an intuitive API and a rich C++ class library, integrated tools for GUI development and internationalization, and support for Java and C++ development.

Qt 4.4 supports Widgets and canvas window, regardless of the appearance of the target platform. In addition, Jambi 4.4 connection of the native databases via JDBC, no additional plug-ins is needed. Also XML files can use the XQuery implementation such as databases will be addressed.
