MOTO ROKR E8 Unleashed To Rock The Indian Audience

After introducing itself to various parts of the world, the MOTO ROKR E8 phone has finally made it to the Indian market. ROKR E8, the newest addition in the ROKR family, is an advanced audio player mobile device that offers access to Motorola's new music portal MOTOMUSIC through GPRS.

The phone wishes to stand out differently with its ModeShift technology that converts the phone into a music player or imaging device with just a touch of a button. The other feature the phone speaks highly about is its FastScroll navigation wheel, which scrolls through quickly and efficiently through songs, contacts and image library with just a slide of a finger.

The new ROKR features a virtual numeric keypad, which disappears when the phone is turned off, displaying a smooth surface with no visible keys. With pressing any virtual music key once, the numeric keypad disappears and control keys for the music player offering functions such as play, pause, fast-forward, and rewind appear in place. Users also get a tactile feedback confirmation when they've pressed a virtual key.

The phone also comes packed with Crystal Talk technology for call clarity even in a noisy environment. Compatible with Windows Media Player 11 on the PC, the phone has 2GB of internal memory and optional external memory support up to 4 GB capacity.

“ROKR E8 is an advanced audio player mobile device with a three dimensional stereo for delighting music lovers. With our unique ModeShift technology, we’re offering a great mobile music experience to the Indian consumers,” said Malcolm Dawe, vice president & general manager, India & South West Asia, Motorola Mobile Devices.

Other features of the MOTOROKR E8 handset include a 2.0-inch QVGA 240×320 262K TFT display; a 2.0-megapixel camera with 8x zoom, multi-shot feature, video capture and playback; Stereo Bluetooth Class 2 with in-built speakers; USB 2.0 Hi-speed; GPRS Class 12 and EDGE Class 12; a 3.5 mm stereo headset jack and an integrated FM radio. It is compatible with Quad Band, GPRS/EDGE connectivity.

Another interesting feature of the phone is its Music ID that listens to the tune from any other device like a mobile phone, television, etc and it searches for the same tune from the Moto Music Store and plays it on the phone. Motorola also flashed their latest launch, Moto Music Store, which provides access to huge range of Music tracks. The Moto Music Store has more than 3,50,000 songs, which includes various genres of music ranging from rock, jazz, classic, dance, world music and so on.

The ROKR E8 is available at Motostores and retail outlets; the Premium pack is priced at Rs 15,455 while the Deluxe pack at Rs 13,999.
