Intermec is APAC RFID Market Strategy Leader, Says F&S
Intermec, an RFID hardware vendor, has received an award from Frost & Sullivan for RFID market strategy leadership in the Asia Pacific market for the years 2005-2006. Award nominees were evaluated on criterions such as, annual market share growth, ratio of marketing investment to market share increase, web site effectiveness, end-user acceptance of its products, and product differentiation.
Parul Oswal, Senior Research Analyst for RFID Technologies, Asia Pacific said, "The Asia Pacific market for RFID tags and readers was estimated at USD 0.51 billion in 2005, and is likely to reach USD 2.33 billion by 2010".
"We are honoured to receive this award from Frost & Sullivan," said Henri Juvanon, managing director, Asia Pacific, Intermec. "The RFID industry is gaining traction across the Asia Pacific region. Although use of RFID is blossoming in many industries, including logistics, government and personal finance, it is a very fiercely contested arena."
