BEA Systems has unveiled the BEA WebLogic RFID Enterprise Server 2.0. A core component of the BEA WebLogic RFID product family, BEA WebLogic RFID Enterprise Server aims to help enable central management of RFID data collected at the 'edge' of an enterprise, that is inside a retail store, warehouse or data centre. BEA WebLogic RFID product family is key component of the BEA SOA 360 platform.

New services include:

• RFID event repository that complies with Electronic Product Code Information Services (EPCIS) standards
• Master data service
• Reporting service
• Data exchange with trading partners

BEA WebLogic RFID Enterprise Server 2.0 is expected to become available for download beginning October 12, 2006..
