Genpact and Accenture have emerged as the top BPO employers in India, according to a study. Genpact currently has a headcount of 19,700 , while Accenture employs 19,000, the are the top two employers, a study by Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) said. About 200 companies are profiled in the 2006 edition and the listing parameters like employee size, verticals serviced and locations of delivery centres were used.. In the Indian outsourcing landscape, captive outsourcing organisations account for 65 per cent of the total ITeS and BPO exports from India, while third party operations make up the remaining 35 per cent. Of this, the top ten third party players dominate with a large 30 per cent share of the pie, it added.

With MNCs looking to expand their operational capabilities in India and Indian companies looking to expand their customer base with acquisition overseas, the ITeS and BPO sector will continue to show dynamism, the study said.
