VeriSign Acquires inCode Wireless for USD 52 mln
Internet payment security company VeriSign is planning to buy technology consulting firm inCode Wireless for USD 52 million. Revenue and earnings from the acquisition will not materially affect VeriSign's 2006 results, VeriSign said in a statement.
InCode has 14 offices in ten countries and is said to provide strategy-consulting services to wireless and fixed-line operators as well as cable TV providers and telecom manufacturers. The company’s investors include Sequoia Capital, Focus Ventures and iNovate Communications Group.
Shares of VeriSign fell more than four per cent following the news, losing USD 1.05 to USD 22.96.
