SOA Software Joins SAP’s Enterprise Services Community, Becomes SAP Partner
SOA Software, a provider of SOA and Web services management, security, mediation and run-time governance solutions, has expanded support for SAP AG’s blueprint for enterprise Service-Oriented Architecture (enterprise SOA) through its membership in the Enterprise Services Community (ES Community) and its new status as an SAP Software Partner.
"The adoption of industry-accepted standards and assurances regarding discrete cross-product interoperability are critical to most enterprises evaluating technologies to incorporate into an SOA," said Sandra Rogers, program director of SOA, Web services, and Integration research at IDC.
SAP has launched the ES Community program to bring together thought leaders from diverse industries to share ideas in enterprise services, the company said.
"SOA Software and SAP share a common vision for enterprise SOA", said Roberto Medrano, executive vice president of SOA Software.
SOA Software’s Network Director version 3.5 has also achieved 'Powered by SAP NetWeaver' status. The Powered by SAP NetWeaver designation allows customers that are standardising on the SAP NetWeaver platform to deploy their SOA infrastructure solution running on top of the SAP NetWeaver platform, rather than having to invest in another application server platform to provide this infrastructure, the company said.
