Borland Opens Enterprise Quality Centre in Singapore
Borland has opened an enterprise quality centre in Singapore. A provider of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), Borland said the Enterprise Quality Centre (EQC) would serve as a global centre for quality assurance activities across the company’s globally distributed development organisations. The facility will emphasise innovation and collaboration—helping to break down barriers between geographically dispersed business, development and QA teams, and utilise Borland’s Lifecycle Quality Management solution, with integrations across the company’s broad portfolio of Open ALM technologies, to enable a comprehensive and proactive approach to software quality assurance, the company said.
A prepared company release said Borland selected Singapore, as it was the site for Borland’s existing IT infrastructure, high-quality talent pool and proximity to other key markets, such as Japan, China, India and Australia. Borland’s key customers and partners in Asia include Visa, Hexaware, Deutsche Bank, Nanyang Polytechnic, China Mobile, NEC, National Computer Systems and Singapore Computer Systems (SCS), Borland representatives explained.
