Nintendo Wii Losing Lead Over PS3 in Japan
It appears that Sony’s struggling PlayStation 3 console may finally be making some ground on its competitors. After a sluggish start and a summer that saw the PlayStation3 being outsold 6-to-1 by the Nintendo Wii in Japan, the latest figures show that the feeble console may finally be catching up.
Nintendo’s Wii sold 110,415 units in Japan during October, while Sony managed to push 47,183 units out the door. Though those figures still indicate a lead of over 2-to-1, the gap, compared to where it used to be, is closing.
Unfortunately for Sony, the company may be losing ground in game sales as well. Sony's game business posted an operating loss of .8 million in July-September, while blistering demand for the Wii and the DS handheld player helped Nintendo zip past Sony and other corporate giants to become Japan's third-most valuable company.

The title of the article "Nintendo Wii Losing Lead Over PS3 in Japan" is not correct or even supported by the article. The lead of the Wii grew by more than 60,000 consoles in October. The only good point for the PS3 is the lead is not growing as fast. Until the PS3 starts outselling the Wii will the lead start shrinking, even then it will be a long time before the PS3 has sold more than the Wii.
