Considering the growing demand of the digital communication by the enterprises, Procall, a wireless solution provider and member of the Essel Group, has initiated to launch, the first of its kind Digital Push-To-Team (PTT) service in India.
This migration from the heavy analogue mobile trunk telephone to sleek handsets will provide instant team connectivity at the push of a button featuring Motorola’s iDEN (Integrated Digital Enhanced Network) technology. In the first phase PTT will be introduced in Bangalore, followed by Delhi and Mumbai, with an initial investment of Rs 600 crore.
While addressing the media, K. Satyanarayana, CEO of Procall said, “PTT communication otherwise known as dispatch on radio frequency allows unlimited number of users in a closed user group communicate with team members for unlimited time at a fixed monthly charge.”
“At Present Procall is the only company licensed to offer Motorola's iDEN technology in India and also the exclusive company to have acquired the digital public mobile radio trunking license for circles of Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Maharashtra, Goa, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh,” he added.
Pocket-size digital handset, combines the capabilities of a digital wireless phone, two-way radio with instant group talk features, integrated A-GPS, advanced messaging services.
PTT service, in its initial stages would be targeting only business-to-business segment, where its main users would be from IT, ITeS, Hospitality, Logistics, Fleet Management and Health sectors.
