ASUS Unwraps WL-520gU Wireless Router
ASUS Technology recently announced the launch of their new WL-520gU Wireless Router. This router sports a built-in Windows Vista Wireless support and is claimed to provide fast, efficient wireless LAN setups.
To set up the browser, users need to click the EZSetup button on the back of the router, launch the EZSetup Wizard from the PC and click the EZSetup icon, and the Wizard automatically searches and connect with the WL-520gU. Users can “Press & Click” to setup and protect their Wi-Fi network environment by utilizing the WL-520gU and its inherent security standards (WEP, WPA, WPA2).
Additionally, the router works via Windows Connect Now (WCN) feature, enabling any PC running the Vista operating system to associate and join the Wi-Fi network of the router easily and securely.
According to the company, WL-520gU is also able to prioritize needs for Internet bandwidth. “With Bandwidth-on-Demand, users can easily allocate bandwidth according to their individual needs by simply clicking on the buttons, such as voice or gaming and assign more or less bandwidth to streamline multiple network activities (FTP, Games, P2P) to work smoothly at the same time,” said ASUS.
The WL-520gU also has a built-in printer server function called EZPrint Share. This feature allows users to “Plug-N-Share” by plugging USB printers into the WL-520gU and sharing those printers with everyone without the need to pay extra costs for the purchase of a printer server.
The ASUS Wireless Lan and Networking products are available nationwide through their distributor India Digital Lifestyle Distributors Pvt. Ltd. (IDLDPL).
