Sonasoft Will Provide Data Protection And Disaster Recovery To Ubisoft
Sonasoft, a provider of disaster recover solution, announced that Ubisoft, a publisher of video games has successfully implemented Sonasoft's SonaSafe solution to protect Microsoft SQL servers. Sonasoft provides a One-Stop Shop for the Backup, High Availability and Disaster Recovery needs of Ubisoft.
Ubisoft says it selected Sonasoft's solution because it was looking for an integrated solution that provided data protection, high availability and disaster recovery for its servers in Montreal, Canada, Paris, France and San Francisco, California.
According to Sonasoft, after implementing Sonasoft’s SonaSafe solution as the backup and disaster recovery tool, Ubisoft was able to accomplish the following:
· Implement a real Disaster Recovery solution; if the production server or even the data center is down, customer can bring the system back online in a timely manner.
· Data warehouse (DW) gets refreshed every hour, hence, providing more accurate and up to date reports for the business stakeholders.
· Due to more current and accurate reports in DW, users launch fewer queries in the production system, therefore, less contentions on the production database and application.
· A daily refresh (or Clone) of the production environment is available in US, to troubleshoot users requests or resolve bugs.
"We tested many products and selected Sonasoft' SonaSafe solution because replication is done on a data level and it verifies and validates data before applying on the target database," says Amir Shafi, senior manager of business applications of Ubisoft. "The solution provides both data protection and disaster recovery at one fourth of the cost and Sonasoft provides excellent customer service."
Earlier this month, Sonasoft partnered with Integra Micro Systems to enhance its product development efforts.
