Frost & Sullivan Recognizes Blue Coat as the Most Promising Vendor Of The Year Award
Blue Coat Systems, a maker of proxy server appliances used for WAN optimization, content filtering, remote access and web cache, announced that it has been honored with the prestigious 2008 Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Award for ‘Most Promising Vendor of the Year’.
The company claims that Blue Coat ProxySG appliances address the issue of slow application performance in branch offices by providing visibility and understanding of traffic crossing the Wide Area Network (WAN) and then stopping malicious or unwanted traffic, accelerating business-critical applications and managing everything in between.
Selections of entries were made by panel of judges consisting of senior CIO and CTO executives from the industry, Frost & Sullivan analysts and members of the press. The award is part of Frost & Sullivan’s program to recognize outstanding performance in the Asia Pacific ICT industry during the year 2007.
