Click Once to Search Faster with Yahoo Glue Pages
Find exactly what you are looking for on the Web on a single page with Yahoo’s new online search concept called Glue Pages, a new home page design for Yahoo’s search engine in India, focusing on the local contents. The results from the Glue Pages (beta) would feature images, videos and text on a single page.
This three in one search result could be experienced only on the Yahoo India site. During the Beta test phase search is limited to specific terms belonging to the categories such as Travel, Finance, Sports, Heath, Entertainment and Technology.
According to the company this concept is primarily designed to save time and to find searched answers much faster. Selected keywords would return the combined results from Yahoo Answers, Yahoo Heath, Yahoo Groups, blogs, Flickr images and Howstuffworks.
Pranesh Anthapur, COO, Yahoo! India R&D said, “Glue Pages would be monetized by revenues through sponsored modules, clicks, and advertisements. Depending upon results of the Beta version in India, Yahoo! plans to roll out Glue Pages in other countries.
